Jimmy Wayne is a former foster kid turned country music singer/songwriter whose songs, story, and walk halfway across America in 2010 continue to help bring awareness to kids who age out of the foster system and become homeless. He earned the prestigious “Million-Air Award” for receiving one million radio spins of his song "Do You Believe Me Now." He is the author of Walk to Beautiful, his New York Times best-selling memoir, and the author of the novel and made-for-TV movie Paper Angels. I recently saw Jimmy Wayne on Fox and Friends publicizing his new book about Ruby the Foster dog. Loved the cause so went to order it - then I realized he wrote other books so I ordered one of all to give as Christmas gifts. When I looked at the pictures in this book I knew I needed to read it. I don't have time to sit and read so I ordered the talking book of a Walk to Beautiful and bawled all the way through it. I have since ordered more of each of his books to give as gifts and downloaded all his music without even listening to it! Wanted to support this survivor.What a sad childhood...thankfully followed by a triumphant teen finish. Read this book then share or better yet send one to all of your friends.
