Barry Stein claimed it is a complete illustrated history of authorized distinctive unit insignia. The gestalt is that the book is number of crests short of a full stein. For example the 12 Armored Infantry Battalion and 66th Tank Battalion, both of the 2nd Armored Division aren't in his book. How many other military units crests aren't in his book would involve extensive study. Barry needs to change the title from complete to a work in progress.
I used this book in assembling and displaying my collection of military crests.
