About the Author
Over a thirty-five-year tenure at RAMSA, Roger H. Seifter has designed houses across the United States and overseas. He has completed a significant number of residential apartments, including several in the firm’s own buildings such as 15 Central Park West. Randy M. Correll has designed houses from New England to Los Angeles. In addition to his many houses in East Hampton, he has also been responsible for additions and renovations to the library and at Guild Hall, as well as the new Town Hall. Born in Australia, Grant F. Marani came to New York to practice architecture in 1984. In addition to his houses in the U.S., he is currently involved in residential projects throughout Asia, ranging from single-family houses to large-scale neighborhoods. In addition to his many custom houses and Life magazine’s 1994 Dream House, Gary L. Brewer has designed academic buildings at Harvard, Brown, and the University of Virginia, as well as the Ocean Course Golf Clubhouse on Kiawah Island, South Carolina. All four authors are Partners at Robert A.M. Stern Architects.

Another beautiful book about Stern's architecture. It is improved over his older books in that the photos are much larger. Some of the earlier ones had giant pages with one tiny little photo.I love the inclusion of the house plans, although some of them are so small that a magnifying glass is needed.
A beautiful publication. Much like a classic cocktail table book. If you enjoy Stern's work (and that of his firm's colleagues) then you'll likely love this giant format book. Makes a delightful present. I bought two. Kept one, gave one. Your gift recipient would likely like this too.
Without question this purchase and addition to my collection is my best this year. Many of the projects are well chronicled but the new pictures and plans make this a great purchase and addition to any library. Mr. Stern and his team continue to demonstrate why this firm is at the apex so many years after being founded. The Monacelli Press always exceeds expectations. Well done.
This book was ordered as a gift and it hasn't been given yet. But the quality is great and our client will be very happy to receive it.
A beautifully done book about homes designed by one of the world's best architectural firms. I would highly recommend this book.
Great book at a great price
Big, beautiful book, printed on heavyweight paper and full of fantastic photos of uninspired architecture. The book is full of photos of exactly what you'd expect from an architect given unlimited budgets for both design services and construction costs. We are in the process of designing and building a custom home (although not nearly on par with those shown in this book), and of the several hundred fabulous photos in this book, we bookmarked about 3. All the rest are, for lack of a better description, customized McMansions with neither soul, connection to the landscape, nor much originality.Stern and company draw very pretty elevations; if I could hire them to do just that, I would, and leave the interior arrangement to others (see Lake|Flato, for example - although their elevations are nothing to sneeze at). Frankly, I was disappointed enough in this tome to return it for something else more to my liking.
