This was definitely one thrill of a sequel. Not only do we get more of the savage games, determined survivors, and wild vampires, but werewolves storm the cast as well.V Games: Fresh from the Grave is definitely a bloody thriller of a sequel and I can't wait to read the last book in the V Games trilogy (although there are more books that will dive into the lives of other characters that will continue the series). If you're on the hunt for a story teeming with the supernatural but prefer one high on the stakes with a dash of romance to keep 'em there then definitely look into this series because so far it's been one danger of a ride.
This is the second book in this series and Selena goes back to the island to rescue Varick from the twisted Helsings, who plan to torture Varick as punishment for helping Selena escape the island. Unfortunately, Selena ends up competing in a second round of games on the Isle of Lidelse. Winning the first time was difficult, but twice is next to impossible. This book is just as fast-paced, intense and possibly more gruesome than the first. However, I found that I compelled to finish it quickly to find out how it ends. This one was definitely another nail biter!
No Worries, I was engaged right back into the continuing Story of Selena and Varick.The storyline includes history of both that drew them more clearly. Introduction to werewolves.And the new improved Helsing V Games with larger number of contestants and audience. An amphitheater that "stank of bank notes and fresh blood". Selena finds herself and her allies back in the game. Shish, this is intense and even when the action slows Ms. Peckham builds just enough new threats to let readers know there is more danger ahead. Selena and Varrick together and uh a visitor. to be continued. AAAhhhhhh!
If you thought V-Games 1 was brutal, you've seen nothing yet. Seleena and Varek arein for the challenge of their lives. V - Games, Fresh from the grave takes off from the first and never slows pace untill the breathless end. Be warned, it ends on a cliffhanger. I'm so ready for #3. I recieved a complimentary copy of this book and willingly give my honest review.
This book brings you back to the games which is held in a new arena with a lot more new and unique things for the girls. Varrick has been sent to the games instead of living with the Helsings. Werewolves are introduced as well as an old friend from Varrick’s past.
I would definitely recommend this book. There's times when it's slow, but it's so worth it. It's the second book and follows immediately after the first one. It's definitely something you should read if you like vampires/girl power/evil villain/werewolves.
Amazing read! Could not put the book down. This series deserves 5 stars... I love the story line and all the characters. Buy it read it and you will not regret it.
I love the V Games book2 and i can't wait to read the 3rd book. I love all everything about this book and the characters in the book.
