I bought this for my sister for Christmas after getting a copy for myself.I've made about a dozen dishes from the book, and all have been delicious. The garlic chicken, and steamed buns are my personal favourites. But the fried rice is also excellent. Lots of beautiful illustrations, clear and easy to follow directions, and explanations of different falvourings make this book very accessable to folks who haven't got a lot of experience cooking Chinese food.

If you want a cook book that has recipes you can use without any prior knowledge of Chinese Cooking, to produce meals that have big flavours with healthy ingredients so you don't clog up your arteries, then this is the book for you. And it's easy enough to use the recipes to learn principles that you can apply to different ingredients. The only suggestion to ignore is that you use a cleaver to chop food if you have always been used to standard kitchen knives. Gok can handle a cleaver with expertise, because he was brought up with using one. But if you haven't, then stay away from this blade unless you feel you have too may fingers and would like to lose a few.

I found this to be a great cookbook. It was very easy to follow with simple recipes. We have already tried the green beans - delicious.

Authenticate with a few ingredients so that the list is not overwhelming and the end product tastes as you would want

Gok Wan is a fashion stylist who came to fame on British television with the series "How To Look Good Naked". Here is a tie-in book for a further British television series that follows Gok's other passion: Chinese Cooking.Now, perhaps Gok Wan has had a bit of a head start as he grew up with a Chinese restauranteur and chef for a father and was inevitably dragooned into helping within the family business. This book guides the reader to making 80 quick and healthy Chinese dishes from Gok Wan's own personal and family recipe collection.This reviewer has not seen the television series, so the book is having to speak for itself. It starts with a menu (the index) that is laid out in the style of a Chinese take-away leaflet that is so synonymous with Chinese food and Chinese take-aways for many Britons. After a bit of a personal story where Gok Wan shares his passion and inspiration to the reader, it is straight on to an overview about ingredients and their essentiality to Chinese cooking. Despite covering much of the same ground as many other 'how to' Chinese cookery books, somehow the author manages to make the information more accessible, in your face and thus more likely to sink into the old grey matter.Time to get cooking! The first chapter is 'Chinese Takeaway Classics" and many of these have a somewhat special resonance to this reviewer, being a child of the 70's where fried rice or 'Chinese Chips' seemed to have a bit of an exotic aurora about them. Gok Wan has, however, eschewed the made-for-Westerners gloopy takeaway dishes and instead used his own healthier, tastier, more authentic equivalents. They sure look good and the high-quality photographs soon have you salivating. (The 'artistic' shots of Gok Wan, every so often, tasting a dish or prancing about don't have a specific effect to this reviewer, however!).The other chapters - Chinese Sunday Roast: Dim Sum; Favourite Family Wan Dishes; Chinese Classics; Street Food; Feasting; One-Pot Wonders and finally Modern Dishes keep on delivering recipes like a machine gun delivers deadly bullets. Each recipe is well laid-out, contains detailed, explanatory instructions and even gives (hurrah!) an estimated preparation and cooking time to boot.This was a pleasurable, unpretentious book that gives the total beginner (and the more experienced gastronome) many interesting recipes and a wonderful springboard to experiment further and try more adventurous recipes. This reviewer was initially concerned that it would be a case of 'style over substance' being a TV tie-in with a Fashionista but these concerns were soon blown away. Apart from the odd 'artistic' picture, the book is incredibly down-to-earth and just focusses on the main job in hand. Something many other books could do worse than emulate in fact.

Rejoice because God has found you worthy of testing.There is also some discussion about idols in our lives and how God is jealous. Do you have an idol in your life - something you love more than God? I also found the ideas that evil will try to break your spirit to be a warning. As James 1:12 says: "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him."What is interesting about this book is how Thomas Boston explains the truth from Bible stories that can be applied to daily life. He has great insight into the problems humans experience and provides biblical wisdom like how "all things work together for good."Some of this book deals with the issue of humility and how God will raise you up to new heights if you are willing to humble yourself in this life. Some of this book deals with issues like self-denial and submission to the will of God.I found myself talking to God through this book as the revelations were realized. It was an enlightening and comforting experience. This book also provides lots of hope for the believer who wants to trust that his life is in God's hands.One thing that you should know is that the word "crook" in this book does not mean a dishonest person. Gotta say my kid (16months) doesn't like this one, and for good reason. It's factually correct, yes, not to mention coloruful and cute, but it gets WAY too into the weeds with details. Baby gets bored during the long breakdown of algorithms vs code, what exactly a programmer does, and everything there is to know about how computers communicate. Too many words per page for a board bookOne I DO recommend in this series for young tots was "Baby Loves Thermodynamics" - which tells a pleasant story in baby terms without a long winded drag about entropy or conservation on energy. It's short, sweet, and to the point, so baby GETS it.

The dynamic duo Ruth Spiro and Irene Chan have created yet another amazing Science book for babies and toddlers. Baby Loves Coding explores the beginning ideas of what coding is using a baby and a train. While the book is written for the youngest of readers it still includes some wonderful vocabulary words like algorithm, programmer and code. We love the simplicity the book brings to the complex idea of coding through everyday things that babies can relate to: playing, eating and listening to music. If you haven’t read any of this series be sure to get your hands on one of them; they also make great baby gifts!

My son loves trains, so this book was immediately a hit.

My husband is a programmer and often works from home. Our daughter was expressing interest in what Daddy was doing with his laptop... Enter Baby Loves Coding!This book explains coding & what a programmer is so well! My daughter is 21 months old and she loves the story.She says “Choo Choo!” when she sees the train and counts the “steps” baby takes to find all pieces of the train.I love that it explains that we use code to not only play (kids toys), but that coding helps us eat (microwave).This book is a must for any child who has curiosity surrounding computers, Moms & Dads who code, and how coding assists us in our day to day events.Lastly, as an adult reading this, I feel like I have a better understanding of coding. It’s a language, pure & simple.Get. This. Book!!!!

The book is adorable and my 2 year old daughter loves it. Dad is a programmer and when we found this we just had to get it for her. I was a little skeptical on what the books contents would be but its actually very well written and definitely appropriate for little ones. Great little introductory on the world of coding.

This books starts out like a simple children's book with stuff like "Look a train. The train is red" and then quickly transitions into talking algorithms. No child would enjoy reading this or learn anything from it. It appears very little effort was put into making this book good and that the manufacturer is just trying to pump up as many "Baby Loves [occupation]" books as possible just to make a quick buck. I'm very disappointed.

My 2.5yr old loves this book. We read it four times the first day and three times every day since.

There are a bunch of books on the market that teach science to babies/toddlers/preschoolers. This series is our favorite. The illustrations are adorable and the stories appealing to us as well as the kiddo. My husband loves this one in particular because he can't wait to teach our son coding. He loves reading this with him. Our other favorite is Baby Loves Quantum Physics and if you haven't read it, definitely check it out. A winning series and one we'll keep investing in.

This book sears the soul. I am reading it aloud to my children and at various points find myself choked up by the raw emotion it evokes. It is unfathomable that black slaves were treated with such a degree of disdain and hatred because of white colonists love of the almighty dollar. That whites would literally rip the strongest black man they owned into two after tarring and feathering him, tie his appendages to two separately facing horses, and whip the horses until they ran in opposite directions should make us all weep.It takes a great deal of grace not to feel revulsion when I look at whites after reading such accounts of what their ancestors did, especially in light of the racially charged climate we live in today, with the hateful rhetoric being spewed from the Oval Office on a daily basis. I know better than to allow my heart to close and isolate myself from engaging with those who don't look like me. I have friends who are white with good natures, but it seems there is always a point that just can’t be crossed because of a lack of understanding or maybe refusal to acknowledge this part of their history because it is entirely uncomfortable to confront the pain of another when you have no real solutions to assuage that pain.Irregardless, real conversations need to be had about the depth of the pain and suffering white America has inflicted on people of color and not brush it aside as if it were just another blip in the series of other great historical events. The division and psychological trauma inflicted on blacks is still felt today despite the chains of bondage being shed physically.I am determined to teach my children the whole of American history, not just about Columbus sailing to America. Who gives a doggone?? His sailing to America is what also brought slavery to her ports. That is not celebrated! History is always told from the perspective of the ruling class and here in America that happens to be form a white vantage point, thus it is whitewashed to omit more salient details such as the atrocities of Christopher Columbus.I am hopeful this rising generation will be agents of change because they seem less fixated on what divides us, but make no mistake, even progress does not mean eradication-race will always play a part in how we see others because if is such a blatantly obvious distinguishing characteristic-even when we say it doesn’t. This book should be mandatory high school reading so the depth of the racial divisions can be put into context both between whites and blacks, as well as fair-complexioned blacks and darker-complexioned blacks.It takes a determined resolve, books like this one, dialogue, and supporting and striving to understand one another to make real change. I am grateful for the knowledge this book imparts despite the horrific and barbaric pattern of behavior demonstrated by white Americans who perpetuated and profited from slavery. It has enlightened me even the more and reminds me that only the strongest slaves survived the atrocities of slavery, and I proudly descend from their bloodline.

This book is educational as well as disturbing. To think that someone would set up such a system is truly unbelievable. I really can't image someone suggesting such a thing unless it was Satan himself. It really makes you think.

This book is an excellent read for POC that want to understand colorism, division, separation of the two parent home atmosphere. This little 28 page paperback wokee up even more. I loved this book that I ordered another version of this book. Hence, this book put me in tears.

I just got this book and am super excited to read it. A really interesting read that has information on the case as well as some personal history. As it says, it's an encyclopedia so it is all fact based. The encyclopedia itself is 306 pages. The 307th is the appendixes, where it groups killers into either solo killers or team killers. From there it gives personal information on the killer, such as their age, race, motive, MO, disposition, etc. After these two sections, there is unresolved cases starting on page 455. Again similar to the previous two, it gives the information about the crime and if the person was serial and had a nickname he/she went by, then it would give the nickname of the killer. The bibliography does not in fact start until around 489. So up until 489, the book is chalked full of information that gives you a better understanding of who these people are and what they did.

I love the way the book is set up and how it goes so into detail. It's not just like a paragraph for every killer or group. For example, Aileen Wuornos has about 4 pages all to herself. The book was in great condition when I received it and was thicker than expected, haha!! I find serial killers fascinating and this book is a great way to obtain the information.

I am a Criminal Justice major. This is actually a textbook for one of my classes! Suffice it to say, it's my favorite class. This book is fascinating. I'm a long-time student of serial killers and I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in this topic. Truth is stranger than fiction and much more compelling!

Dissapointing that Gary Ridgway, The Green River Killer, is not included. The man was convicted of 48 murders, and suspected of as many as 90! Some encyclopedia!

Everything you ever wanted to know about Serial Killers, both known and unidentified, by the man himself, Mr. Michael Newton, himself. This superlative text collects the living breathing nightmares that haunt the centuries of modern mankind itself. They are all here, a veritable who's who of sickies and sociopaths, from Aileen Wuornos to the Zodiac Killer, both both living and dead, they are all listed here.

I read this book cover to cover in 5 days! Very informative, thorough, provoking, intense, exciting & I couldn't stop reading it. I only wished there were more photos of each killer & often times more information about them individually. I would highly recommend this piece of art literature to any student studying abnormal behavior, psychopaths, sociopaths & even rarely schizophrenics. This Encyclopedia is one of a kind and a "must have" for anyone fascinated by killers in our society today as well as from the killers that are now in the grave. We may never know "Why" some killers get addicted to the hunt & act of murder that they feel compelled to keep killing until they get caught or until they are dead. I'm intrigued with death, murder, violence, sex and true crime and I'm a freak but I am comforted by the fact that I am NOT the ONLY FREAK because murder sells somewhere in the billions of dollars each year. Its worth every penny~ You gotta buy this book!

I got this for Christmas. I love it. It reads just like an encyclopedia and you can look people up by name. I wish I had gotten it in hardcover, but I still love it in softcover for sure.

Of the books 515 pages 200 of them are appendix. The articles on most of the people are very short, sometimes only one or two paragraphs.

This is a very easy to read and easy to understand book about financial topics and retirement planning. It really opens your eyes to all the missed opportunities that are available. Mutual funds were always thought to be the thing to do because everyone was doing it or because it was easy through your employer but it never really made sense. This book is going to save me money and help me to be more aware of where my money goes and how it’s invested to last me past retirement.

The knowledge in this book was so eye opening to me! I had no idea that so much of the common financial advice given these days is totally outdated. This book was easily laid-out in a way that helped me feel confident moving forward with my financial planning long-term.

You know when someone talks to you about a “sad book,” and you immediately think, “well, someone precious is going to die at the end?” A Little Life has been called tragic, depressing, a masterpiece that you cannot get through without a wad of tissues nearby, and so naturally, I assumed someone would die at the end. I went into this book prepared to not get too attached to the characters, but it’s inevitable to not connect with people who are the subjects of an 800-page book with minimal spacing and tiny font. I’d like to think I went into this book prepared, but my preparation got me nowhere.This novel does not lead up to a sad ending. Let me explain. Calling this novel “sad” is a massive understatement. It is 800 pages of tragedy after tragedy, because the “sad” doesn’t follow the pattern we are used to. It’s not happy and pleasant until the end where something sad happens- no, this book is a depressing hunk of paper with very little happiness in it. A Little Life is a long, winding tunnel spotted with skylights. You walk forward in the darkness with a couple of friends, and you are struck with sadness after sadness. Your friends get lost in the tunnel, you fall and break your arm, and then the tunnel gives you a foot of light where you can look around and take a breather before plunging yourself into the darkness. You don’t know what’s at the end, because the tunnel gives you no hints. You don’t know if you’ll exit into the open. You don’t know if you’ll hit a dead-end, but you keep on walking because by this point, your masochism has kicked in and you’re addicted to the torture.We follow the stories of four characters, all college-friends who have moved from Boston to New York City in order to fulfill their dreams. Malcolm is an aspiring architect- timid and shy, whose overbearing parents are his pride and shame. JB is a painter- arrogant, optimistic and full of life, JB is the only one among his friends who is certain he will make it in life. Willem is an actor, calm and steady who has no family but his three best friends. But while the three have their own lives, their bond is strengthened by the presence of one Jude St. Francis. Jude is enigmatic. Despite having been friends for years, nobody knows anything about him; not his ethnicity or his sexuality. They don’t know anything about his childhood or his years before attending university. Jude has an injury; an accident severely limited the use of his legs, but nobody even knows how this came to be. A Little Life reads more like an in-depth character study than anything else. Despite there being a large, diverse, well-fleshed out cast of characters- make no mistake: this novel is about Jude. This novel is about Jude’s life, his depression, his experiences, his feelings of pain and insurmountable shame. It is a story about Jude’s relationships and his impact on the people around him. It is a story about love and loss, of betrayal and friendship, of perseverance and giving in. And because it follows the story of such a broken, intense young man, it is a difficult read.It is a difficult read in more ways than one. Firstly, it is 800 pages long with very little action, with large chunks of paragraphs detailing the little moments in life, detailing theorems and laws and art and literature. Large chunks that talk about family, sex, career and the meaning of love- things that may not even need to be in the book. These large chunks familiarize you with our characters’ backgrounds, their introspections and streams of consciousness, their experiences with each other and outside of their immediate relationships. The characters in this novel feel real; more than once, I felt like I could reach out and touch them. They feel like friends, comrades you’ve known for a long, long time. Their happiness genuinely excites you, and their sadness genuinely devastates you. You also become so invested in their relationships with each other, almost as if you’re a mediator.Apart from the thematic material, what makes this novel so hard to digest is the characters. I’m not exaggerating when I say that they feel like friends- watching them suffer through unimaginable things hurt me. I have never felt this way before. Halfway through the book, I had already cried at least twice, excluding the point where I sobbed for ten pages straight. And then again after. Yanagihara’s empathetic portrayal of human nature, of human decency and monstrosity is so spot-on. I don’t know what else I can say.Secondly, it is brutal in its honest, unflinching portrayal of mental illness. There were several moments in this novel where I had to set the book aside and steady my breathing. It is uncomfortable. It depicts self-harm and depression graphically but not gratuitously, with sensitivity without doing it for “the shock factor.” Finally, the constant jumps in time frame makes this book far from a casual read. You need to keep up. Each ‘section’ takes place a few years after the previous one, but sometimes Yanagihara alternates time within paragraphs as well. One time you’re seeing the friends’ lives when they are 35, and you jump back in the middle of a paragraph to when they are 28. It can be quite jarring if you’re not paying attention.But having said that, Yanagihara’s writing is easy to keep up with. Daunting as it may be with its intelligent discussion of many themes (some of which I mentioned above) and the sheer scale of the book, her writing is welcoming. Complex, full of emotion and genuine feeling, full of ‘quotable’ things without it ever being overbearing or ‘too much.’ Authors writing in the literary fiction genre so often give off the impression that they need to prove something, but Yanagihara writes with effortless grace and poise. She’s not trying to prove anything; this is her in 800 pages- take it or leave it.But despite all my praises, this is not a perfect book. My main complaint is the length. Bear with me. I have no problems with lengthy books, as long as the length is justified. Many will probably disagree with me, but I felt that the novel could have been cut short by at least 50 or 100 pages. For example, towards the beginning, we get such an in-depth look into JB and Malcolm’s characters, much of which doesn’t come back after the first section. Perhaps their backgrounds could have been weaved more seamlessly into the narrative as the book went along. A lot of the objective discussions about science and mathematics were beautifully written, sure, but didn’t feel like they needed to be there. But I’ve got to give Yanagihara this: despite the length, and despite the discussions on objective topics, I was hanging on to her every word. I didn’t skim a single page- I was just that invested.So, here we are. You and me at the mouth of the tunnel. I made it out, and you’re asking me if you should take the chance. “It’s difficult. It’s long. It’s even terrifying at times, but-” and I prod you into the darkness, “it’s also exhilarating and beautiful and one hell of an experience.”

I liked this book for many of the reasons already espoused. Particularly because of the field I work-I appreciated the illustration of the hidden life and thoughts of a traumatized character. I work with abused and traumatized children and adults. If you work in the field or closely with those around chronic sexual abuse you may decide to skip this read as it may feel too overwhelmingly like work... And it will. For me, it increased my motivation to work with this population... Particularly as this work highlights how vital it is for early age interventions (though that is not the intent or focus of the book that is my personal takeaway).I feel after reading through various negative reviews I would like to clear up a common / thread in the negative reviews. Many of the 1 stars continually stated how long the book was and "there was no way one person could go through that much trauma... Meet that many perverts and paedophiles..." Sure the book is long, I've got nothing to clear up there; but for any of you who work in "the system," as I do, you absolutely know that the level of abuse depicted in the book is not only in the realm of reality but sadly the history of several of my clients. You may decide you can't handle the subject matter; too many traumatic details; too much cutting; you hate it because of some of the other story lines or clichés in the art community; too frustrated with Jude's inability to see himself as something different Etc. But please don't write it off because you find his level of abuse and self-loathing as "unbelievable." It may be unimaginable for most of the readers (and it should be) but for some reading the book it was a reality and some who work with traumatized clients we experience it second hand. Several 1 star raters only wrote about "how unbelievable it would be for a counselor to do that" or the 'unbelievable" crazy doctor--and to that I say look up complex trauma and the testimony of domestic sex slaves (ie Jude). True most of those I work with do not end up with Jude's career but Jude was also highly educated and later has positive, healthy relationships by 16. We know relationships are a number one factor in resiliency in traumatized patients. The book is heavy and there are happy moments but no happy ending. What I appreciated about Jude being a seemingly successful New Yorker was how it challenged the reader on how hidden the traumatized soul can be. I realize this review doesn't get into the likes but after reading so many of the 1 stars saying how "melodramatic" and "lifetime movie" Jude's story was I felt like another perspective was warranted. You may find other characters (particularly of the art scene) clichés (not necessarily unreal) or take issue with length and jarring transitions (which I found added to the intensity and disorientation in a positive way) but please rethink the 1 star because you don't find his childhood at all believable.

This book has become one of my top books of all time. It is not an easy read. It is heartbreaking, it’s a gut punch, it steam rolls right over your heart over and over and over. Cue the ugly cries and heavy emotions. It knocks the wind right out of you.You are probably thinking only a masochist would want to read this after being told all of that. But, there was something so beautiful about author Hanya Yanagihara’s writing. Hauntingly beautiful. To me, the book’s biggest strength is the character development: probably the best I have ever read.The story follows four best friends from college through adulthood who struggle to find themselves in early adulthood but over time each will find their footing. One of them battles secret demons that debilitate him emotionally and physically. It is a story about friendship; but, not ordinary friendship. A supreme friendship so connected that without it one is not whole, but lost. Friendship that gives one breathe: a reason.I purchased both the paperback (814 pages) and audiobook (32 hours at 1.25x pace!) and found myself listening to the audiobook while reading along with my actual book. I’m normally not very fond of audiobooks versus actual reading, but the narrator, Oliver Wyman, gave a voice to each of these characters and it felt that much more real when we read along together. It was like having a reading companion, and with this book you need one.

An amazingly beautiful book. Any Marilyn Monroe fan should own this. The photographs are so real looking you feel like you could really touch her. Just absolutely stunning book. It's very classy too with the black and gold colors. The quality of the paper is amazing too. They are so thick and feel so good to the touch and I love the smell of the book. Book lovers will know what I mean by that.

If you were to ever buy just one book which contained beautiful black & white, and colour photos of Marilyn Monroe in chronological order, in a LARGE format that you will label as a "keeper" for your personal collection...THIS IS THE ONE ! But it is much more than just "photos":Well-researched, well-documented, much info from those who knew her, worked with her, and were friends with her.In reality, her original brown/brunette hair color was just fine. And, those early, innocent photos showing her in her "natural" state prove the love that the camera showed her...the lense captured her young, glowing beauty way before she was given the "Hollywood Treatment" of blonde hair & studio makeup artists.I remember vividly the day she was found dead, August 5, 1962...just 8 days before my 21st birthday. I could not believe it. A decade older than me...but SO young. And now she was dead.Like the death of James Dean at his early age, both myself and my peers seemed to be losing our "current" popular film icons...just as the age previous to us had lost Thelma Todd, Jean Harlow, and, Carole Lombard.I had just come back from my first trip to Los Angeles & Hollywood. I was preparing to be an Actor and would move out to California a year later to study at the Pasadena Playhouse. And, I could tell from the environment I had witnessed there that it was NOT an easy place to be in if you wanted to remain "who you really were", and this excellent volume on Marilyn verifies my original thoughts.This book was my personal Christmas Gift to myself, and I've already recommended it to a number of my friends...just as I recommend it to you !BTW: This was purchased through Amazon "Free Shipping" and came earlier than I had expected...thanks, Amazon ! Packing was cool too...so, don't just read this: If you want something right now, order it and enjoy it before the Holidays are over !

I am a huge MM fan, and have a very large collection of books and memorabilia. After reading several reviews here, I knew I had to have it. There are so many books about her, but some are just shoddy and seem thrown together for the sole purpose of making money. This is really the ultimate "coffee table" book. It has a great concept...literally her metamorphosis from Norma Jeane to Marilyn throughout her too short life. This is not the book for someone doing research or wanting to read a lot about her. There are some well chosen quotes, but it is all about the gorgeous photos. Yes, some are very familiar, but there are some I've never seen before. And the photos are what tell the "story" here of her changing looks over the years. The quality is very high, the photos are stunning, and I love the cover. This would be a great gift for any MM fan, but be sure to get a copy for yourself!

A spectacular, stunning coffee table book that you will treasure for its glorious photography of one of the world's most beautiful women. Excellent color reproduction, good selection of rare photographs. I find myself picking up this book time and again just to leaf through it, and I do indeed have it on my coffee table! Visitors to my home invariably notice it and get drawn into looking at it too. A fine tribute to this unforgettable actress whose dealt was most definitely NOT accidental and NOT a suicide.

Just received this beautiful book. I have always been a fan of Marilyn Monroe and have seen all the movies she made. She was such a great comedic actress and I believe would have made a very good dramatic actress also. This book, as I have read in other reviews, is quite large and is broken down into the various stages in her life. The only thing that I don't like is the printing. Very muted which makes it difficult to read. Still worth the money if you are an MM fan.

I bought this book as a Christmas present for my wife, but i must admit i had an interest in it also. We are both in awl of this beautiful lady, her talents as a model and her abilities as an actress. Her movies did not show off the depths of her spirit sadly and unfortunately. She was underrated to say the least. That said, i only wish the book explored her early life and career in greater depth. But there other books out that address this and we intend to buy those also. I can't say enough about the quality of the photographs, they are exquisite in every way. If you love her as much as we do, purchase this book and leave it out on your coffee table. It will cheer you every day. As Bernie Taupin said in his song "wish i could have known you, but i was just a kid" , we have to be content with knowing her through her pictures. Marilyn, you live in our hearts and you will never be forgotten

Unequivocally the BEST book on Monroe (photography-wise) I've ever seen. There is literally no way you'd be disappointed owning this. It's gorgeous and there are SO many photos that I'd never even seen!

If you've always been a Marilyn fan, or even a sort-of fan, and you think you might buy a good photo book of her if you saw one you liked, this is it. The quality of the printing is amazing, and of course the subject is completely captivating. It's as if there's no camera between you and Marilyn. She brings you to where she is. I don't see how any human can not fall in love with her. When I die, I think I want to be buried clutching this book to my chest. I give it a squillion stars.
